About Wyuka Cemetery & Funeral Home

Wyuka Cemetery has been an important part of Nebraskans' lives for over 140 years. Its grounds have hosted a variety of family gatherings over the years. Our visitors continue to tell us about their visits to Wyuka, whether for birthday celebrations, family reunions, or to commemorate the lives of loved ones who have passed away.

Since its inception, Wyuka Cemetery, a nationally recognized historic cemetery, has been an important living piece of Lincoln's history. Wyuka Cemetery, with its rolling hills, shady trees, sparkling pond, and spectacular plantings, is regarded as one of Nebraska's most magnificent examples of landscape architecture and design. Furthermore, it is a museum without walls. It includes statues and monumental architecture, as well as historical tributes to Lincoln families, Civil War veterans, and ordinary citizens.

Wyuka is now known as the Lincoln community's largest all-faith cemetery. When a loved one dies, a service of dignity and simplicity in a setting of great natural beauty is a wonderful way to say goodbye, and many people regard Wyuka as a peaceful and comforting place to visit. There are spacious sections throughout the cemetery to accommodate any preference, such as traditional ground burial, mausoleum, or personalized cremation options. Wyuka offers a beautiful and peaceful setting for families and their chosen form of permanent and perpetual memorialization, as well as a wide range of options for one's final resting place; over the years, over 52,000 people have chosen Wyuka as their cemetery of choice for burial.

Wyuka is a Lakota word that means "to rest." Many visitors tell us that they get a "feeling of calm" when they enter the grounds. You are cordially invited to tour the 140-plus rolling acres of trees, shrubs, and flower gardens that make Wyuka Cemetery one of our state's most beautiful places.

It is an honor and a privilege to serve here at Wyuka. We are Wyuka Cemetery, a resting place.
