Faries Funeral Directors and Crematorium, Inc. is owned and operated by Robert M. and Alison M Timblin. Faries Funeral Home, which was established in 1831, is the oldest funeral home within the state of Delaware.
Faries Funeral Home, located in historic Smyrna, Delaware has been recently renovated and expanded and is the area's largest and most modern funeral establishment including a state-of-the-art beautifully decorated funeral chapel with a seating capacity of over 250 persons. The remodeled funeral home also features two large exquisite stained glass windows and two large welcoming reception areas.
We are now in our 7th generation of business and are listed as the 7th oldest funeral home in the nation by American Family Business Magazine. Our goal at Faries Funeral Home is to meet the needs of our families and provide the service and facilities necessary for a funeral ceremony that will leave the survivors with a pleasant, lasting memory of their loved one. We are there to direct, advise and handle the necessary arrangements of the funeral ceremony and offer our services wherever needed.
Alison M. Timblin and her husband, Rob are the 7th generations of the Faries family. Robert graduated from the Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science (PIMS) in 2008, following which he served his internship under the watchful eye and experience of Alison's uncle, Wells A. Faries, Jr.
